PAUL PRESCOTT

Paul has been an Actor since leaving The Guildhall School of Music and Drama in the late sixties.In 1979, he and Restaurateur Carlo Lange established La Bonne Crepe Café Theatre in Maddox St W1, moving to larger premises in Battersea Park Rd. (1984-1996). As Artistic Director and Writer in Residence he produced some 146 Productions, 84 of which were also written by him. A diverse mixture of drama, comedy and musicals, many of which were taken on to other venues including the Edinburgh Festival and the New End Theatre, Hampstead. It is at this time that Paul and Rod began their writing relationship, which has over the course of time produced eleven musicals.Paul’s other work as a writer has included a national tour of ‘Beauty Is The Business’. ‘The Green House Effect’ at the Riverside Studios, ‘The Lights Twinkle Sometimes’, at the Jermyn Street Theatre (writer / Director) More recently ‘Dusty The Musical’ at the Churchill Theatre Bromley, followed by a No 1 National Tour. ‘The Nanny State’ a pilot episode for a Sit-Com. A short film for Notable Pictures ‘Hit’ (Co-lead and Writer). He has just completed filming a thirty-minute comedy as Writer Director, ‘One Wedding and Nothing Else’ He is currently working on a project for Celador.

ROD ANDERSON
(COMPOSER)

Rod has written music and lyrics for many musicals and plays, including Blood & Kisses, which has appeared at the Edinburgh Festival. From 1984 to 1996 Rod was composer in residence at popular Battersea fringe venue La Bonne Crepe. Credits included; Someone to Remember Me By, The Sisterella Story, Moonrock, Lady’s Got To Swim, One Christmas Eve & The Great Radio Show of 1942.Other work includes a top 3 hit with Thunderbirds Are Go! TV series; including Wizadora and Teddy Bears for ITV, Hunnypot for The Disney Channel, TransWorld Sport and Blood Sweat & Glory for Channel 4. Recent documentary credits include: Virtual History: The Secret Plot to Kill Hitler for Discovery Channel, Blame The Parents for BBC2 & Max Magic for Sky. Rod wrote the original music & was responsible for the sound design for the West End sell-out production of ‘Round the Horne…Revisited’ at The Venue Theatre, Leicester Square; of which there have been 3 different scripted productions.As a member of 'The Band with No Name' he sings and plays keyboards. Recent venues including Oxford Street institution The 100 Club.
